Mama Makes Me Proud

July 6, 2012, Friday, the Michaelite Batch '73 finally turned over their project at Canaway Day Care Center as spearheaded by Ms. Ma. Josefa Abalos Labaro with the coordination of Brgy. Captain Camilo Anduyan. The project was mainly renovating the classroom and changing the bamboo fences into hollow-blocked ones - keeping the kids safe and more attractive to look at. Surely, a very child-friendly learning place!

I am very proud that my mom, Dolores Manata during her high-school days is part of this activity. She is one of the active members and the current secretary (together with Marichu Torremocha) of the batch.

I am a witness of their group. They had been spending their time weekly for meetings about future projects in the community. Since my mom opened this to me, I told her about the Millenium Developmental Goals, in which, one of the goals is to Achieve Universal Primary Education. I am glad that the batch made a really wise decision.

This is inside the classroom, educational charts were also donated by the batch

Kudos to you, Michaelite Batch '73! Not only for mom, but for the whole batch as well, I am very proud of you! Mission Accomplished!

From L to R: Marichu Cahanap-Torremocha, Marijo Labaro, Zoila Uy-Villapando, Alice Balondo, Merle Gulang, Adelia Bado-Amado, Dolores Manata-Leopoldo, Laura Sechong
